HOW CAN I LOVE OTHERS?
Scripture misinterpretation is rampant in Christianity, especially when some want to take advantage of the others.
The following scripture says,
“If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for the one who does not love his brother whom he has seen, cannot love God whom he has not seen.” 1 John 4:20 NASB.
This subject is a complex one that no one should try to monopolize.
There are many wrong ways people are misinterpreting this LOVE and very little right way.
NOT EVERY ACTION IS HATRED
For example, Because someone don’t agree with others manipulation and refuse to give their children school fees to a course they don’t believe in don’t necessarily means that they hate that person.
It depends on how you interpret hate.
HOWEVER NO MATTER ANGLE WE LOOK AT IT FROM THE FIRST STEP IS TO LOVE GOD AND NOT OTHERS
Are you surprised why many of us are struggling or pretending
that we love others but it always fail?
It’s simply because we’re ignorant that the first step of love is not towards men but towards God.
Don’t bother about what many people has interpreted loving others to, but carefully look at the actions of many that says they love others.
Take the Americans citizens scenario for example.
The cry of many of them from many years that the foreigners are dominating their country and taking their jobs is what really fuels most of the rearrangement, deportations and embarrassments we’re seeing today.
Yet many of them are carrying placards all around the nation to stop the result of what they’ve been asking for.
•Do you really call that the love of God too?
•Is there anything wrong if someone is rearranging to keeping their nation safe? Sentiment apart NO!
You cannot love others than the one that created them and gave instruction on how to love.
“YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF”
•No matter the circumstances always remember that God comes first.
•You come second
•And your neighbors after.
Going to the extreme of the instruction is what we called sacrifice. But you must be commanded by the Spirit of God before you take such step.
“Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.” 1 Peter 4:8 NASB.
If that is the case why are the Churches suspending members for not paying tithes or embezzlement?
HOW CAN I LOVE OTHERS?
Try the following formula and surely you will be stress free about what loving others entails.
“AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH.’
The second is this, ‘ YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Mark 12:30-31 NASB
THE FEAR OF GOD IN LOVING
Loving others does not suggest that you should hate yourself, that’s why your first love should be Chanel towards God first.
