JESUS CHRIST IS NOT A TALKATIVE
It’s the Christians that has a lot of catch up to do with the Holy Spirit teaching for better understanding and the interpretation of many things that Jesus Christ has spoken about.
The disciples also fell in to the same category before the day of Pentecost that the disciples witness the birth of the New Testament church. “So they were saying, “What is this that He says, ‘A little while’? We do not know what He is talking about.” John 16:18.
Jesus has spoken the same words in multiple times with different meaning but the Apostle peter couldn’t fathom it out just like many of us too today.
Many Jesus’s words are still causing arguments till today regardless of what title people has given to themselves. However, if you’re the type that walk with the Holy Spirit independently, there is no cause for alarm. Same thing has happened to the Apostle Peter before.
Now let’s get into the scripture with the help of the Holy Spirit for interpretation.
John 21: 15 So when they had finished breakfast, Jesus *said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me more than these?”
He *said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He *said to him, “Tend My lambs.”
16 He *said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” He *said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He *said to him, “Shepherd My sheep.”
17 He *said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love Me?” Peter was grieved because He said to him the third time, “Do you love Me?” And he said to Him, “Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.” Jesus *said to him, “Tend My sheep.
Why do you think Jesus mentioned “Feed my sheep” 3 times?
Please keep it in your subconscious mind that this is the Apostle Peter that had already neglected the assignment of fishing for souls that Jesus Christ has given to him. He has reverted back into the normal fishing business that Jesus brought him out of when Jesus was asking him these questions.
For better understanding, let’s look at the difference between a lamb and a sheep?
Lamb and Sheep are the same, lamb is the young of the sheep Just as a cub is the young of a lion and Lamb is usually less than 12 months old. While Sheep is an adult, strong, and tougher.
What could this 3 times command means?
- “Feed my sheep” (Spiritually) in other words speaking about spiritual food. Peter must “feed the sheep” how to be born again! Jesus show them this example before he died. “Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.” John 3:3
2. “Feed my lamb” (Materially) Peter must take care of the needs of lambs. Note: Jesus lamb simply mean the helpless. ”Jesus replied, “They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat.” Matthew 14:16. In other word look out for them because sometimes a believer might be in baby’s condition.
3. “Feed my sheep” (Physically) Peter must heal the “sheep” of their physical conditions with the authority he has bestowed upon them. “That you may heal me…While Jesus was in one of the towns, a man came along who was covered with leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell with his face to the ground and begged him, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.” Luke 5:12.
Caveat: Taking care of the sheep physically is not limited to leprosy.
It is only armed robbers that collects what does not belongs to them from the people.
Giving money to anyone before you receive your healing or anything from Christ is an abomination and total act of ignorance.
Quote me on this the general overseers and the bishops are not licence to do that.
All our Churches can not resolved to going around and be sharing chickens and clothes in other to take advantage of grants and cheerful givers, while many souls are dying in the hands of sin and their physical bodies is suffering torment in the hand of sicknesses and diseases. If anyone sees it from anywhere that Jesus Christ lay down the command that the Apostle Peter should feed himself and other overseers at the expense of the poor please feel free to let me know. I am not talking about where Apostle Peter or Paul said. I mean where Jesus himself says. Let the Christian trash the old mentality of touch not my anointed and focus on the major assignment that Jesus Christ has given. If your assignment touches the “anointed” so be it let them get over it. Jesus has closed that book in Luke chapter 4 immediately He located His purpose.
Jesus says, 18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, Because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives, And recovery of sight to the blind, To set free those who are oppressed, 19 To proclaim the favorable year of the Lord.” 20 And He closed the book, gave it back to the attendant and sat down; and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fixed on Him. 21 And He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”
Brethren, please don’t re open the book that Jesus has closed. It will robs you of your liberty in Christ.
In conclusion: TO THE ANOINTED ONES Jesus says, “It is not this way among you, but whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant, 27 and whoever wishes to be first among you shall be your slave; 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:26-28
Brethren, please dare to look into your bible again and again with the Holy Spirit interpretation and find out the real meaning of born again learn how Christ serve and follow His template. Abiding in Christ is beyond the best tither of the year rituals.
