A WAKE UP CALL TO NIGERIA RELIGIOUS LEADERS

ANXIETY AND DEPRESSION ARE REAL! WE CANNOT CONFESS THEM AWAY.

WHAT IS DEPRESSION?

Depression is more than just a low mood; it’s a severe condition that affects your physical and mental health. Poverty is not the only cause of depression; there are other factors we should dare to look into as well. Depression is common in other countries too, as a matter of fact, it’s worse. But their government and other citizens are doing a very great job in helping people out of depression.

It’s because many religious leaders are out of solution that’s why today you will found all kind of musical equipment and comedians in our churches, yet many Christians are not only dying of oppression but of daily depression. Why?

Our master, Jesus faced similar situation too. The Bible recorded it that, “He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and knelt down and prayed, saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.” And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him. And being in agony he, prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground” Luke 22:41–44.

“My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death” Matthew 26:38.

Permit me to lay emphasis on Nigeria; Nigeria is a nation that depression of many kinds is killing her people, but they’re tying it to evil spiritual power always. Brethren, it is not everything that is happening to us is evil spiritual power; many are due to our too much love for money and material things. This lie and others continued because that is the only route the privileged few could make money from others.

Many of our religious organizations, especially the ones of Christian have become an atmosphere for depression. Because if a general overseer is not buying a private jet today, he will be renovating a redemption campground or building a new auditorium tomorrow, and they’re expecting all this money to come out from their members. How do you think many people will not be depressed when they are forcing and cursing them to give what they don’t have? The worst part is that many of their members will be going around scouting for money to build a campground that “God” has commanded, in a false ways from unbelievers or many believers that are minding their business to wait on the Lord.

The next thing is, they will end up depressing others that are waiting and trusting in God because of their pitiful looking. Pastors are not excluded in begging unbelievers and their family members for money to be able to pay remission into the church headquarters bank account to retain a Church. Our Christian leaders are not making things easier for their followers anymore. Many Churches are taxing their followers to death just because they want to ride a private jet or build a billion dollars seat campground, not minding of thousands of their congregations that had been laid off from their jobs. How do you expect those that have an opportunity to steal not to do so, in other to belong? Unknowingly many “born again Christians” has forgotten their families and neighbors while running to redemption camps to fulfill all kind of pledges.

CHRISTIAN WAYS MUST BE DIFFERENT TO THAT OF THE PHARISEES, AND OUR LEADERS ARE THE ONES THAT CAN CHANGE THE UNRIGHTEOUS ATTITUDE THAT HAS BEEN SOWN IN THE LIVES OF THEIR FOLLOWERS.

All Nigerians are part of Nigeria problem let no one be too religious about this.

IS THERE A WAY OUT OF DEPRESSION? ABSOLUTELY YES!

If every one of us will pay more attention to our neighbors and give the necessary attention to them instead of us running to unending prayer meetings and vigils for deliverance, while the politicians keep stealing the nation money and paying “tithes” to various camps.

Keep watching if you see your neighbors or families going to vigil every day, or your spouse locked up self in a room every day praying for his or her needs it might be a sign of depression not love for God.

Instead of you mistaking your fiancé or fiancée as God’s love as many people would suggest.

I will advise you to take a bold step to carry out depression test before you finalize your marriage plan. How? By checking out how good is he or she is surrendering to the will of God without wasting your next generation resources for sowing monetary seeds around the camps ground.

In conclusion, ARE YOU A CHRISTIAN OR YOU’RE JUST CONFESSING THAT YOU ARE?
