A metaphor is known as a figure of speech. But most of the time that figure of speech may be thoroughly addressing the reality of a situation at hand, and though its a metaphor but it shouldn’t be neglected or taken for granted.

“If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.” Luke 14:26 NASB

“What did Jesus mean when He instructed us to hate our father and mother?

Maybe the scripture interpretation of the word hates there may not be proper or religiously correct, but Jesus Christ means precisely everything He says, and he proved it to His disciples, and it is documented.

“While He was still speaking to the crowds, behold, His mother and brothers were standing outside, seeking to speak to Him. Someone said to Him, “Behold, Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside seeking to speak to You.”  But Jesus answered the one who was telling Him and said, “Who is My mother and who are My brothers?” And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, “Behold My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of My Father who is in heaven, he is My brother and sister and mother.” Matthew 12:46-50.

Christ followers only need the courage to follow Jesus’s words, actions,  compassion, and passion and get away from sidelines Christianity.

If your fellow human beings are dying all over the world, and some few privilege and groups of religious leaders seat down in a redemption camps offices, wanted to be politically correct and at the same time sharing the loots with the politicians, while they continue gambling with the lives of the Children of God. Our religious general overseers have become so humble when the enemies are killing and oppressing the children of God; but very furious and anointed to curse their followers when the remittances, first fruits, pledges, and tithes are not up to their expectation.

For example, if someone metaphorically called the nation of Nigeria “Shithole” country, and every Nigerians and acclaimed well-wishers of Nigerians were furious, including many Americans that don’t have a clue of the hell the peoples of Nigeria are passing through in that part of the world.

What else can you call a country that there is no single day her citizens have not been arrested, killed, jailed, facing deportation from many countries or stranded in a border, begging another nation just to accept them in for a daily meal? And a single politician has more the resources of a whole state in their bank account, and their religious leaders are posing around with Cambodian jets daily

In my own opinion, I think calling Nigeria a “shithole” country is too lenient. Because living in Nigeria right now except by faith is hell on earth.

And I pray that God will deliver His people speedily in the name of Jesus.

Hold on Nigerians, there is always a light at the end of a tunnel. Good morning to you in all over the world.
