Repentance Is A Must To Be A True Follower Of Christ

AN INJUSTICE THAT IS NOT QUICKLY ADDRESS MAY END UP IN DISASTER

Don’t ever neglect any injustice even if the consequences are going to cost you.

I will give you an instance, if you’re someone that is familiar with Nigeria, you should understand by now that they worship their men of gods not GOD in all their religions.

The agony of it is that the ones that claimed that they’re Christ followers are practicing the same thing?

A few years ago some group of people, which includes a Pastor call Adeboye scheme with the nation’s politicians to rape their nation. Why? GREEDINESS!

Whenever you see someone playing ”humility” card around injustice, God called such people SILENT DESTROYER. Desmond Tutu said, ”If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality.

A bad counsel is terrible no matter who gives it to you.

When Amnon’s friend gave him wrong counsel, David fell for their scheme and sent Tamar to the house of Amnon to help him out. But Amnon raped Tamar. King David heard about Amnon ungodly attitude the Bible recorded it that David was angry, but there is nowhere in the bible that tells’s us that David addressed the issue.

Why? Because David took the matter with levity.

“Now when King David heard of all these matters, he was very angry. 2 Samuel 13:21.

What is the meaning of Amnon? Means faithful in Hebrew.

TWO YEARS LATER THE MATTER THAT WAS TREATED WITH LEVITY CAUSE DEATH OF AMNON

“Absalom commanded his servants, saying, “See now, when Amnon’s heart is merry with wine, and when I say to you, ‘Strike Amnon,’ then put him to death. Do not fear; have not I myself commanded you? Be courageous and be valiant.” The servants of Absalom did to Amnon just as Absalom had commanded. Then all the king’s sons arose, and each mounted his mule and fled. 2 Samuel 13:28‭-‬29.

How can someone that was called faithful die in a horrible way? Wrong counsel!

Bad counsel has no other name but bad. Either from influential men or women of God, it doesn’t matter from whom you receive the counsel if it’s not of God it may end up in disaster.

“But Amnon had a friend whose name was Jonadab, the son of Shimeah, David’s brother; and Jonadab was a very shrewd man. He said to him, “O son of the king, why are you so depressed morning after morning? Will you not tell me?” Then Amnon said to him, “I am in love with Tamar, the sister of my brother Absalom.” Jonadab then said to him, “Lie down on your bed and pretend to be ill; when your father comes to see you, say to him, ‘Please let my sister Tamar come and give me some food to eat, and let her prepare the food in my sight, that I may see it and eat from her hand.'” 2 Samuel 13:3‭-‬5

GOD HAS ALREADY MADE A WAY OUT

All you need to do is Repent, Confess your unrighteous acts and Dare to face the consequences if that is how God wants it to be. I pray that God will help us in Jesus name.
